In ancient Iran, the Achaemenids created an innovative way to send valuable messages immediately, called the optical telegraph. They chose a series of hills across their territory and lit fires with two colors (red and white) to send the messages quickly, which acted as binary numeral system. Therefore, light became an efficient tool for sending cuneiform messages. The range of hills started from the capital and branched from a specific location to send messages to various parts of the lands. The plain surrounded by these series of hills with fire on top called, Malagar. Malagar means “the land of fire” (the name changed to Malayer over time). We, like our ancestors, will strive to build a better world by creating new and efficient solutions.
